The Černý Most Commercial Centre was one of the first shopping centre of this type built in the Czech Republic after 1989. In time the whole area gradually became one of the largest commercial zones in Prague. After several years of operation the investor decided to reconstruct and complete the original structure of shopping centre. The architectural and design concept of the commercial centre was developed by the British architectural practice Benoy Studio. The main aim of this design was not just to make a good first impression but to stress every particular design detail. The result is a design for the extension of retail areas of the Černý Most Commercial Centre which is adding attractive spaces and introducing in the Czech Republic the latest trends in the construction of shopping centres in Western Europe. Attractive forms, visual attractiveness, colours, types of surface materials are some of the basic elements of the architectural language used in the design for extension and reconstruction of the existing commercial centre that will help to create a unique structure of this type.
