At the very start of the work of the Helika’s architects and designers on the project for reconstruction and completion of the Justice Complex in Prague 10 -Vršovice was the decision of the Czech Ministry of Justice to address the difficult situation in the Prague justice administration in a radical way, i.e. by constructing a large complex of sufficient capacity to accommodate about half of the district courts and prosecutors’ offices in Prague. Apart from the reconstruction of existing historic buildings, the project also includes a construction of a new building in the courtyard of the former barracks providing the district courts and prosecutors’ offices with a modern justice complex reflecting their requirements for effective and unobstructed administration of justice. The reconstructed historic buildings are connected with the new central structure creating a complex providing a space for nearly hundred court rooms, a central auction room, congress hall, press room and other justice administration rooms and offices. After its opening Justice Complex will become an example of new modern justice complex in the Czech Republic incorporating the highest user-focused standards and a model to all other justice or court buildings in the country.
