The architectural tender competition for a design of the new business centre with the maximum use of the available area. The built-up area of elongated trapezoidal shape is situated in the centre of the Karlín area between Pobřežní and Sokolovská Streets and bordering K Olympiku and Za Invalidovnou Streets. In terms of functioning, the business centre is designed as a mixture of commercial and office spaces with the car parking areas and areas of green vegetation of adequate sizes. The building is designed as a glazed monoblock structure with an expressive facade dominated by the irregularly positioned horizontal sunshades to refine the divisions of the facade. The relative monotonality of the building is countered by the gently rising attic in the form of a glazed railing and the receding frontal parts of the building that, with the shape and proportions, might evoke a ship. The must striking architectural feature is the parterre area of the facade lightened by a negative view of a landscape seemingly submersing into the ground and re-emerging in a continuous wave. The building is designed as a reinforced concrete shell structure.
