The new building of ophthalmological center in Vinohrady was renovated and extended. The building is situated in a residential area Vinohrady opposite the entrance to Prague's Vinohrady hospital. The team at Obermeyer Helika developed the concept, which naturally respects the typical architecture of the site, which was founded in the 20s and 30s of the last century. The building is built on an area of 232 m2 and fits conveniently and unobtrusively into the surrounding area with mostly three- and four-storey terraced houses and duplexes. Also, the materials used are typical of local architecture, and a combination of plaster, brickwork and ceramic roofing. Classic exterior appearance of the building contrasts with the modern interior that fully meets the demanding requirements of leading medical operation. Clean rooms are designed using a modular system built and designed at the same time. There is continuous monitoring of air purity and surfaces that ensures the required aseptic environment.
