The new pavilion with examination and treatment facilities for Oncology Department, Nuclear Medicine and Haemodialysis with essential operation backroom facilities for patients and personnel. Part of the pavilion are sterile rooms for diluting cytostatics and the preparation of radio pharmaceutics.
Three floors with the main functions are designed as a simple cubistic form, which is complemented by a fourth floor with a receding technological background. Pavillion 5 is connected to the other building by a connection neck.
To reduce the building’s overall mass, a glass façade was chosen – clear by windows and green at the ledges. This play of colours reacts to the complex’s layout in three departments. To make the building appear brighter, white panels have been inserted at random, which breaks up the façade’s orderliness and monotony
