Pelhřimov Hospital is significantly expanding the capacity of its medical services this year, thanks to the new pavilion. This important project, financed by the Vysočina Region as the client and main investor, required an investment of CZK 592 million excluding VAT. The architecture, planning, static and technological HVAC solutions are all the work of the renowned design and construction consulting company Obermeyer Helika a.s. It succeeded in meeting the deadline for the demanding task of designing and constructing the new hospital pavilion in the passive standard, while achieving maximum energy self-sufficiency and meeting all the requirements for a modern medical building.
Ing. Jiří Houda, Chief Project Engineer at OBERMEYER HELIKA, who was involved in the design of the new pavilion from the very beginning, says: „Building a passive hospital entails certain complexities due to the specific medical and environmental hygiene requirements. It was necessary to integrate various technical facilities into the design of the hospital pavilion to meet the requisite parameters while at the same time ensuring energy efficiency. This was a demanding process that required careful planning, close cooperation on the part of professional specialists, and compliance with the strict normative requirements. We see that overcoming these challenges has paid off. It will be beneficial in the long term and make the medical facility more sustainable and efficient.“
