The overall project of the extension of Centrum Chodov was a combination of refurbishment of the existing shopping centre, expansion of the internal retail and mall spaces, and upgrade of external public landscaping areas for both the existing and newly constructed. The new overall total floor area of the centre was increased by more than one third (now totally 101.500m2) and offers more than 300 retail units, a multiplex cinema with 18 screens, enlargement of the food & beverage zones, and parking facilities for more than 3400 cars. The project sensitively combined modern design and functional elements whilst adhering to the principles of sustainable development.
