The new multifunctional hall with a capacity of up to 13,300 seats will provide Brno with the largest and most modern facilities for sports, cultural and congress events. The construction is one of the largest strategic projects of the city of Brno, together with it the city will build about 3,000 parking spaces.
The Building Structures Division has prepared the detailed design documentation. This covers the structural parts of the multifunctional sports and cultural pavilion in Brno, with the exception of the steel roof structure. In addition to reinforced-concrete load-bearing structures, we also provide pile foundations and shoring of the construction pit. The building is completely modelled in Revit.
The multifunctional hall has 2 underground and 6 above-ground floors, the roof reaches 30 m above the surrounding terrain. The floor plan of the hall is oval-shaped, based on the shape of a hockey rink. The roof of the hall is designed as a spatial steel pre-stressed cable truss structure with floor dimensions of approx. 137.5 x 95 m.
