The Building of the Year 2004 (CZE)
The multi-functional O2 (Sazka) Arena with the capacity up to 18 000 places is undoubtedly a type of building that for its size and range of services for spectators and architectural and urban design deserved to be called an exceptional building. The design work proceeded parallel with the entire construction process. and were therefore demanding not only technically but also in coordination.
The result is a modern and standards-compliant multifunctional hall, which proved its functionality immediately at the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2004. Since then, thanks to its variable interior equipment, it has been a venue for cultural, social and sports events.
